Cv liar

Something that I always have found funny is how people lie in their cvs. Years ago people used to decorate the cv adding so many languages. Latin people tended to add latin languages like italian, spanish or portuguese, anglo-saxon people used to add german language, when they did not speak even a simple phrase.

Few years ago the trend changed. Curriculums where you could found glamorous MBA or Masters from unknown colleges or even converting a simple course in an official master.

Today we have a brand new trend, "the C level". Since the ".com" starts to blow up everyone have tried to launch their own startup. Everyday I read so many cv with words like owner, CEO, COO, CFO. I have read so many times those words that it is meaningless for me. These are two great examples:

-Looking for an IT profile I get a resume telling that the candidate is CEO of xxx. I search for it, there is not a single trace of the company, but a old tematic forum with no more than a hundred posts.

-Looking for a CFO for an important IT company, I get an interesting cv, explaining that the candidate has three years experience as a CFO of xxxx. I will spare you the details but he resulted to be a seller in ebay.

This is the daily bread of a recruiter.
